Η εορτή αυτή ήταν συνυφασμένη περισσότερο με την ευφορία της γης και ήταν ιδιαίτερα διαδεδομένη εκτός της αρχαίας Αθήνας σ΄ όλη την αρχαία Αττική. Η εορτή των "Προσχαιρητηρίων" ήταν ετήσια και τελούνταν την Άνοιξη με θυσίες σε ιερά της θεάς Αθηνάς. 1
