পালনরীতি
কার্তিক মাসের অমাবস্যার রাত্রে ইঁজেইপিঁজেই উৎসব পালিত হয়ে থাকে। এই উৎসবে গাভীকে দেবীর মর্যাদা দিয়ে পূজা করা হয়ে থাকে। এই রাত্রে গোয়ালে ঘিয়ে ডোবানো সলতার সাহায্যে প্রদীপ জ্বালিয়ে গাভীর শিঙে তেল ও সিঁদুর মাখাতে হয়। গ্রামের প্রত্যেক দরজায় ও তুলসী তলায় শালপাতার ওপর কিছুটা চালের গুঁড়োতে তুলো দিয়ে সলতে ধরিয়ে রেখে পরে সেই পোড়া চালের পিঠা তৈরী করে খাওয়া হয়। সন্ধ্যার সময় লায়া গ্রামের কুলহি মুড়ায় গাভীর আরাধনা ও মুঠ পূজা করেন এবং গরুর মালিকের নিকট অর্থ ও কাপড় আদায় করে থাকেন। 1
