Born in Hanmajipet village of Rajanna Sircilla (formerly Karimnagar) district, Telangana, Midde Ramulu assembled his Oggu Katha ensemble in youth, leading five-person pastoral narratives driven by the hourglass oggu damaru drum, brass తాళం cymbals, and whirling yellow-dhoti leaps. 1

Over four decades of village shrine vigils and All India Radio recordings, he standardized performance training for hundreds of Kuruma and Golla oral epic singers across Telangana. 1
