Operating from Patolawala Salvivad in Patan since the twelfth-century Solanki era, Vinayak Kantilal Salvi, Rohit Salvi, and their family workshop execute true double-ikat Patan Patola—tying and natural-dyeing every warp AND weft silk bundle to millimetre precision before mounting the threads. 1

Woven on a rosewood single-heddle loom tilted slightly on slant posts and aligned stroke by stroke with a steel vijana pin so identical motifs appear on both faces of the cloth, the lineage holds multiple National Awards and Shilp Guru citations. 1
