Institution founded in 1930 by poet Vallathol Narayana Menon to revive Kathakali, Koodiyattam, and Mohiniyattam from near-extinction.
Founded 1930 by Vallathol Narayana Menon with Manakkulam Mukundaraja, under the patronage of Kakkad Karanavappad. First housed at Madappattil, Kunnamkulam; relocated in 1936 to its present site on the banks of the Bharathapuzha river in Cheruthuruthy, Thrissur district.¶
